A variety of folk culture activities showed Chinese people's longing for better lives in the Year of the Tiger. On the day of the Lantern Festival, Weinan, Shaanxi held various cultural activities to enrich the spiritual and cultural life of citizens and create a good festive cultural atmosphere.
Numerous cultural societies comprising amateur actors have prepared well and showcased their skills through a variety of cultural activities like Yangko Dance, Qinqiang Opera, gong and drum performances. Through these cultural activities with the unique characteristics of Weinan, the cultural societies improved the cultural image of the city, transmitted and promoted the fine traditional Chinese culture. By presenting performances satisfying the audience's needs concerning quantity and quality, and strengthening their audience's sense of happiness, these cultural societies indeed immersed the public in a festive atmosphere.
