As one of the first batch of national e-commerce demonstration cities in China, a large number of excellent e-commerce enterprises have emerged in Chengdu in the rapid development of the e-commerce industry over the past ten years. In 2021, the total amount of e-commerce transactions in Chengdu exceeded CNY 2.4 trillion, with online retail sales increasing by 19.5% year-on-year. It is reported that in the key opportunity period for Chengdu to create an international consumption center city, e-commerce plays an important enabling role, which will help further promote consumption transformation and upgrading, further activate the vitality of the agricultural product consumption market, and promote the higher quality development of the regional economy.
