The Splendid Landforms Tour along the Yangtze River includes the Zigong UNESCO Global Geopark. The geopark covers sedimentary strata from the Triassic to Cretaceous periods, which witnessed the transition from sea to land. With its characteristic features of Jurassic dinosaur fossils and Triassic salt mine sites, as well as the "living fossil" Alsophila spinulosa community, and incorporating the rich historical culture of Zigong, it is a world geopark that integrates scientific research, popular science education, sightseeing, and leisure vacationing. Famous attractions in the park include the Zigong Dinosaur Museum, Zigong Salt Industry History Museum, China Lantern Museum, Shenhai Well, and Rongxian Giant Buddha.
