2023 First Greater Huangshan International Communication Forum Held

The 2023 First Greater Huangshan International Communication Forum, hosted by Huangshan Municipal People's Government in conjunction with Shanghai University and Huangshan University, was held in Tunxi District, Huangshan on November 15.

Ling Yun, Party Secretary of the CPC Huangshan Municipal Committee, Cheng Danhong, Party Secretary of Shanghai University, and Li Tiefan, Party Secretary of Huangshan University, all attended the forum to speak at the opening ceremony.

Ling extended a warm welcome on behalf of the CPC Huangshan Municipal Committee and Huangshan Municipal People's Government to all the guests in attendance, saying in her speech that Huangshan is a city deserving admiration and greater popularity. She also expressed her anticipation of future collaboration on an international scale and opportunities to promote the city's wonderful stories to the world.

Cheng emphasized the importance of Huangshan's role as the gateway to Anhui, a name card of China's identity, and a pearl of the world, in telling China's stories and shaping its image and voice. He went on to speak of Shanghai University's hopes of fostering extensive and profound collaboration and exchange with Huangshan and Huangshan University to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.

The signing ceremony

A dazzling array of sub-events followed the opening ceremony, from the signing ceremony of the Framework Agreement for Communication for Promoting the International Image of Huangshan, the launching ceremony of the documentary Xin'an River, the unveiling ceremony of a project by Huangshan International Communication Research Institute, and the display of the achievements of the cultural and artistic collaborations between Shanghai University and Huangshan University to the special "Greater Huangshan" interview event inviting all media workers.

The attendees representing universities, media outlets, and enterprises within China shared their insight into promoting the international image of Huangshan through keynote speeches, and round-table discussions, among others.
