Participation of Greece at China International Import Expo (6th CIIE) 2023 in Shanghai: An impressive reception event organised by 'Enterprise Greece'

On 5^th November, Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Staikouras, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Kostas Fragogiannis, accompanied by Secretary General of Secretary General for International Economic Affairs Chair of the Board of Enterprise Greece, Mrs Maira Myrogianni, and Consul General of Greece in Shanghai, Mr. Georgios Partheniou attended an Enterprise Greece event at ‘Hellas House’, a private events venue. The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Kostas Fragogiannis, highlighted the important role of Greek exporters in the Chinese market and the Greek participation at the 6th China Import Expo in Shanghai (6th CIIE). The Deputy Minister expressed his gratitude to the Consulate General, 'Enterprise Greece' and the host of the venue Hellas House, Greek entrepreneur, Mr Pavlos Kontomichalos, for their contribution. He also mentioned the visit of the Greek delegation in Beijing and the meeting with the Chinese Prime Minister in Shanghai. Furthermore, Mr.  Fragogiannis emphasized that Greece is building upon the progress achieved during recent years (after 2019) and generating further growth: ‘I would like to thank the organisers for this beautiful event. We just came back from Beijing, with Minister of Infrastructure and Transport, Mr. Christos Staikouras, accompanied by Secretary General of International Economic Relations and Openness and Chair of the Board of Enterprise Greece, Mrs Maira Myrogianni. We had the opportunity to meet here with the Prime Minister.’

The event was attended by high ranking Chinese officials, such as Mr. Li Chunping, Director of European Affairs Division of Shanghai Foreign Affairs Office, and Prof. Mei Lihong, Vice President of Shanghai Administration Institute, Greek and Chinese entrepreneurs and representatives of companies (Huawei, Juneyao Airlines, ZTE, Port of Piraeus, COSCO, Laskaridis Shipping, Association of Banking and Financial Executives of Hellenic Shipping).
