Zhelin Hydropower Station of the State Grid in Jiangxi Province: Increasing the water flow out of the reservoir for spring irrigation and water recharge

Since mid-March, following the requirements of spring agricultural production, Zhelin hydropower station of the State Grid in Jiangxi province has been opening irrigation gates, increasing water recharge to protect the spring irrigation demands for farmland downstream of the Xiu River and support the spring farming in irrigation districts.

Facing the continuous growth of spring irrigation and water recharge demand, Zhelin hydropower station plans in advance, making full use of advanced technologies such as the hydrology telemetric system and the automatic reservoir-regulating system, scientifically analyzing the rain and water conditions, accurately scheduling, maximizing reservoir storage, and playing the role of peak-shaving and power-protection while actively storing valuable water for spring irrigation and water recharge.
