The Weinan Renowned High-quality Consumer Goods Promotion Conference, themed Joining Hands in Haikou for Great Prosperity, was held on April 11 in Haikou. Enterprise representatives and relevant department heads from Weinan and Hainan attended the conference and praised the friendship between the two regions. They also exchanged ideas on future cooperation and development.

Weinan, a city located in Shaanxi Province, boasts a sturdy foundation and a comprehensive industrial system within an outstanding natural environment. To date, Weinan has developed five key industries consisting of fine chemicals, equipment manufacturing, food and medicine, new energy and new materials, and aviation. The city has gotten strong support for its high-quality development, with particular focus placed on the advancement and betterment of industries such as 3D printing, new energy vehicles, and biomedicine.

"As a fruit trader, we sampled apples and kiwifruit from Weinan at the conference. They taste good. I have gotten the contact information of the suppliers and I anticipate future collaborations between us," said Wu Xiaojing, the Head of Hainan Houli Green Agricultural Products.

"It is the first time for us to participate in the China International Consumer Products Expo 2023. We hope that the expo will help to expand the reach of the Chinese shadow puppetry art form, generating greater interest and awareness," said Xue Hongquan, an intangible cultural heritage inheritor of Huazhou shadow puppetry production techniques in Weinan.
