Recently, patrol personnel from Dayi Management Station in the Chengdu area of the Giant Panda National Park found that multiple infrared cameras had captured images of giant pandas drinking water and foraging while collecting and recycling infrared camera materials.

An infrared camera image shows that from January to March 2023, giant pandas were drinking in the area’s pools. Pandas were also photographed drinking water at the spot during the same period in 2022.

In addition, an infrared camera at another location also captured footage of giant pandas eating. In the picture, the giant panda is sitting in the snow in front of the infrared camera, holding a bamboo branch and slowly chewing.
In recent years, more and more footage of giant pandas and other wild animals has been captured in the Chengdu area of the Giant Panda National Park. This is not only due to the progress of ecological restoration work, but also due to the continuous progress of ecological monitoring models and equipment, which fully demonstrates Chengdu's fruitful achievements in protecting biodiversity and promoting the construction of the Giant Panda National Park.
