The First Global Children's Creative Contest for Zigong Lanterns Officially Launches

On the evening of June 1st, the opening ceremony of the first Global Children's Creative Contest for Zigong Lanterns with the theme "Zigong Lanterns & Realization of Dreams" was held at the China Lantern World.

In order to fully tap into the potential of the "everything can be a lantern" feature of the Zigong Lantern Festival, and further expand the influence and participation of the 30th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival, the Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival Organizing Committee has launched the first Global Children's Creative Contest for Zigong Lanterns, inviting children from around the world to submit creative works for the Creative Art Museum section of the 30th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival.

The theme of this year's lantern contest is "the Spirit of the Dragon". 2024 is the Chinese traditional zodiac Year of the Dragon, children can take the zodiac dragon and related things as the theme of their creation. At the same time, Zigong is renowned as the "hometown of dinosaurs" in the world, so participants can also take dinosaurs and related things as the subject of their work, showing the amazing ideas that dinosaurs bring to everyone.

The contest is open to children aged three to fourteen, and individuals or groups can participate. The collection phase runs from June 1st to August 10th, while the selection phase will take place from August 11th to September 30th, with preliminary, semi-final, and final evaluations. The excellent works of this contest will be exhibited to global audiences at the opening ceremony of the 30th Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Festival, where the award ceremony will be held.
