Diplomats in China Decode State Grid's Actions in Implementing the 'Dual Carbon' Strategy

On June 7, over 20 diplomats from 15 countries along the Belt and Road Initiative visited State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power company limited. During their brief one-day visit, the diplomats gained insight into the responsibility undertaken by a country that can independently develop and produce large industrial equipment. They also gained an understanding of the specific approach adopted by State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power company limited in implementing the "dual carbon" strategy, as well as the Chinese path to modernization that emphasizes the harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Diplomats listened carefully to the presentation on the application of the Comprehensive Energy Low-carbon Service Cloud Platform of State Grid Shaanxi Electric Power Company and understood that the platform serves 12 projects in four categories. These categories include intelligent operation and maintenance of electric power, online monitoring of distributed energy, smart energy management of parks, and comprehensive energy efficiency and low-carbon services.

At Xi'an Jiaotong University, diplomats visited the Western China Science and Technology Innovation Harbour. This platform is a remarkable example of successful collaboration between top universities in the field of electrical engineering and leading enterprises in China's electric power industry. It is a significant achievement that showcases the scientific research capabilities of both parties.

Following their visit, the diplomats proceeded to the State Grid 750kV Nanshan Substation. Jiao Yufeng, representing the State Grid Shaanxi Ultra-high Voltage Company, said: "We hope to bring such power grids and innovative Chinese solutions to partners along the Belt and Road Initiative in the future, so that green electricity can better serve the people of the world for a better life."
