Jungar Banner: Renovation of Old Estates

The renovation of old estates is a key matter that concerns the livelihood and urban development. In recent years, Jungar Banner has promoted the renovation project among old estates, gaining recognition from the people.

In recent years, a so-called "the most dilapidated" estate -- Xinyuan Estate in Shagdu Town, was transformed into a new one, with the walls of the buildings insulated and repainted; doors replaced and equipped with smart digital password locks; the bumpy roads in the estate smoothed, awaiting paving; and even the doors and windows of each unit in corridors renovated. Having anticipated such moment for a long time, residents were quite exhilarated.

Having a safe and livable place to live is the common wish of millions of people. Jungar Banner, therefore, is to spend three years in transforming 115 old estates totaling 3,380,000 square kilometers that were built before 2010 but not renovated. At present, the renovation project is progressing steadily. In the whole process of renovation, the government is soliciting opinions from the people and accepting public supervision, which has been unanimously praised by the people.
