Mule-laden Sedan Wedding Reappears in Cuijiazhai Village, Jungar Banner

Recently, a folk mule-laden sedan wedding performance with local characteristics of Jungar Banner was staged in a ancient traditional village -- Cuijiazhai Village in the Yellow River Grand Canyon Scenic Area in Jungar Banner.

The rural roads along the Yellow River and along the Great Wall are rugged and difficult to navigate, only suitable for pedestrians, mules, and donkeys to travel alone. The mule-laden sedan wedding is inherited to this day in Shanxi, Inner Mongolia and other areas along the Yellow River. It reflects folk marriage customs and fashions in mountainous areas, shows the rich heritage of the Yellow River culture, and embodies unique folk cultural customs.
