Launch Ceremony for 2nd Desafío China by La Vuelta Beijing Changping Held

The launch ceremony for the 2nd Desafío China by La Vuelta Beijing Changping, a bicycle race scheduled for May 25 and 26, took place on January 31, with the details of this year's race discussed and registration officially opened.

Until 12:00 on February 16, cyclists can search for "环西自行车中国挑战赛·北京昌平" (2024 Desafío China by La Vuelta Beijing Changping) on "马拉马拉" (Maramara), the official partner app of the race to register for participation.

The globally-renowned Vuelta a España (also known as "La Vuelta") dates back to 1935 and is one of the world's Three Grand Tours of road cycling. The first Desafío China by La Vuelta Beijing Changping was officially held on June 17 and 18, 2023.

The second Desafío China by La Vuelta Beijing Changping will feature a variety of events with different features, including a lap race, a team time trial, and a family fun ride on May 25, and a big group competition on May 26. With the exception of the family fun ride, all other events will be timed and scored in accordance with the regulations of the Chinese Cycling Association, and participants will receive medals based on their performances after finishing the races.

This year's event will also encompass a wide array of weekend sub-events for participants and spectators to make the most of their time out and the best of what Changping District can offer, especially its natural landscapes and cultural heritage.
