Northern Anhui Water Town Becomes a Cultural Tourism Hit

Seven diplomatic envoys to China from the Czech Republic, Ethiopia, the Gambia, Greece, Spain, Togo, and Uruguay recently visited the water town in Yingshang County, Fuyang City, Anhui Province.

Following their visit to the Eight Mile River Tourist Area, the group proceeded to Guanzhong Old Street. 6.1 kilometers in length and rich in architectural styles from the Ming and Qing dynasties, Old Street is a fashionable tourist destination that blends dining, shopping, entertainment, and culture in a mixture of ancient commercial streets and courtyard complexes. The envoys followed the flagstone path to explore shops filled with handicrafts, local snacks, and cafes and were also treated to dragon lantern dances and drum storytelling, experiencing the warm hospitality of the people of Yingshang.

The envoys were duly impressed, remarking that the trip had opened for them a unique window into Yingshang's rich natural landscapes and cultural resources and given them a deeper appreciation of Anhui's remarkable high-quality development, expressing an intent to share everything they had seen and heard with their friends and family.
