Beijing (CRI Online) – The year of 2023 marks the 10th anniversary of the Belt and Road Initiative. Over the past decade, BRI has evolved from China's initiative to international practice, from concept to action, and from vision to reality, achieving substantial and significant achievements. Based on this, China Radio International Online launches "Dialogue with Ambassadors in China: China's Role in the Global Governance" series, interviewing a number of ambassadors to China from BRI partner countries, talking about the achievements of BRI in the past ten years, and looking forward to the future bilateral cooperation under the framework of BRI.

H. E. Oliver Wonekha, Uganda's ambassador to China, has visited many places in China since she took up the post. Among these, she was most impressed by Guizhou province's green poverty reduction path and infrastructure improvements. In her view, these are the development experiences Uganda can learn from China. At present, the economic and technological cooperation agreement signed between China and Uganda has been implemented in many fields, and she believes that the infrastructure cooperation projects between the two countries, including the Karuma Hydroelectric Power Station, are of great significance to Uganda's development. Looking ahead to the next decade, what is her expectation for the two countries to continue deepening cooperation under the framework of BRI? In which way does she think BRI may help the African Union achieve Agenda 2063? Let's hear what she has to say.
