To further strengthen the lean management of substation relay protection and solidify the foundation for the operation and maintenance management of substation secondary equipment, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company recently organized maintenance personnel to actively implement their job responsibilities. They conducted a comprehensive inspection of the secondary protection pressure plates and device setting parameters at the substations within their district to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid.
The maintenance personnel of the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company worked in pairs, adopting a method of station-by-station and screen-by-screen verification. They meticulously inspected and verified various setting values, both soft and hard pressure plates, and control words of the relay protection devices. They signed and dated the setting notice forms and printed lists for record-keeping purposes. For any doubts about the condition of the on-site equipment, the staff promptly contacted the dispatch setting management personnel to ensure that the secondary settings and various pressure plates of the equipment conform to the current operating conditions. This prevents issues such as missed or incorrect activation of protection pressure plates, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of secondary equipment. Additionally, the staff checked the grounding of the secondary circuits of current and voltage transformers to resolutely eliminate accidents caused by "three errors" in the relay protection device due to reasons such as polarity errors and non-conformity with protection accuracy levels.
As of now, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has completed the verification of secondary protection device settings for 12 substations and checked a total of 208 protection setting sheets. The company also promptly rectified any issues identified during these inspections. Going forward, it will continue to solidify the foundation of secondary protection for power supply equipment and enhance the safety level of the power grid’s operation, thus ensuring the reliable and safe operation of the power grid.
