“Today, we successfully sold 400 jin of dried chillies during the live stream. This achievement was made possible thanks to the reliable electricity support that ensured a worry-free operation of the Electric Baking Rooms,” said Zhai Xudong, the head of Lielin Planting Cooperative in Huaxing Village, Shuangmiao Town, Xiangcheng County, Xuchang City, Henan Province, China. He expressed his gratitude to the staff from the Shuangmiao Power Supply Station under State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company who had visited him after his live stream session.

Zhai Xudong’s cooperative has 8 Electric Baking Rooms, which can dry nearly 50 tons of fresh chillies in 55 hours. In response to the cooperative’s chilli drying needs, Shuangmiao Power Supply Station arranged specialized personnel for load tracking and regularly conducted on-site services to ensure a safe and reliable power supply during the chilli drying period.
In the current peak season for chilli drying, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has organized managers of the transformer districts to survey the chilli industry. They proactively assess the electricity needs, conduct safety inspections for the baking rooms, and address potential electrical hazards, thereby providing comprehensive tracking services throughout the chilli drying process.
In addition, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has organized 82 distribution network patrol teams to intensify the inspection of power supply equipment involved in chilli drying enterprises. They promptly eliminated power supply risks to ensure the stable operation of equipment.
The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company closely follows the development of the chilli industry’s demand for electricity, having successively erected 374.15 kilometers of distribution lines, added 137 transformers, and increased the total capacity of distribution transformers to 41,000 kVA. These efforts have provided a strong electrical foundation for the stable development of the chilli industry and the chilli drying process.
