Recently, under the influence of strong cold air, the western part of Henan Province in China has experienced successive periods of windy and cooling weather with snow and rain. Consequently, residents have begun using various electric heating devices, leading to a continuous rise in electricity demand.
In response to the recent cold weather and to enhance the capabilities of line risk management, the State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company pays close attention to weather changes, load fluctuations, and equipment conditions. Staff from the Company have carried out special inspections to prevent damage caused by low temperatures, rain, snow, ice formation, and external factors. By managing power channels and installing protective facilities, they proactively addressed controllable risks. Key line inspections were carried out in areas where electricity load increased rapidly. Utilizing both manual and equipment-specific patrols, they gained precise insights into the status of line equipment and operations, allowing for the timely elimination of potential issues at their onset, thereby ensuring the safe and normal operation of residents’ electric heating devices.
Meanwhile, the State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company combined electricity safety promotion with inspection activities. During the patrol process, staff from the Company distributed electricity safety brochures to residents and explained knowledge about safe electricity use during windy and cold weather, as well as precautions for the safe use of electric heating devices. This initiative has provided residents with a clearer understanding of electricity safety.
In the future, the State Grid Sanmenxia Power Supply Company will continue to strengthen its commitment and ensure comprehensive power supply security. It is committed to providing more efficient services to meet the winter heating needs of thousands of households.
