Recently, at the multi-functional meat rabbit breeding base in Yandi Village, Mengzhou City, Jiaozuo City, Henan Province, China, Wang Guilian, a breeder, said to the staff of State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company who came to the base to provide on-site services: “It’s been getting colder these days. You’ve come at just the right time. Please come and help us quickly check the circuits in the rabbit farm!”
Yandi Village has a decades-long history of raising meat rabbits. To further improve breeding standards and profitability, the village has established eight multifunctional meat rabbit farms. It is expected that the annual net income will reach more than 500,000 yuan, enabling villagers to increase their income right at their doorsteps.
In recent years, Jiaozuo City has capitalized on its rural resource advantages and industrial foundation to develop specialized breeding industries, supporting characteristic industries such as shelduck breeding farms, automated laying hen farms, and beef cattle breeding farms. These farms are highly standardized and automated, using a large amount of modern breeding equipment, all of which depend on a reliable power supply.
The State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company has proactively focused on the electricity needs of specialized breeding industries. It assists farms by regularly inspecting electrical equipment and lines to eliminate potential risks. It also actively publicizes preferential electricity policies to help breeding farms reduce electricity costs, improve economic efficiency, boost farmers’ income and efficiency, and contribute to rural revitalization.
