On November 27, maintenance personnel from the Xiayi Luolou Operation and Maintenance Station of the State Grid Shangqiu Power Supply Company braved the cold wind to inspect substation equipment using infrared thermography, identifying potential equipment hazards.
The Shangqiu region in Henan Province, China, has entered a critical period for peak winter demand, with heating loads continuing to increase. To enhance equipment reliability, the State Grid Shangqiu Power Supply Company organized a comprehensive "diagnosis" of various equipment defects, promptly addressing any identified hazards to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power grid during the peak winter period.
The company organized professional personnel to inspect the oil levels of oil-filled equipment and the air pressure of gas-filled equipment within the station. They intensified inspections of outdoor terminal boxes, control boxes, and mechanism boxes, thoroughly conducting live tests such as infrared thermography, partial discharge, and current measurements. Additionally, they implemented measures to prevent small animal intrusions. Focusing on key equipment and critical lines, the company organized personnel to conduct live testing, special inspections, and defect elimination. They continued to carry out inspections and manage potential risks from external damage and foreign object hazards on transmission lines, making every effort to ensure a warm winter for the public.
The State Grid Shangqiu Power Supply Company will closely monitor weather changes and fluctuations in grid load. They will conduct special inspections and hazard assessments on key lines and areas, prepare for emergency repairs in advance, and implement emergency support measures, such as ensuring the availability of repair teams and spare parts. These efforts will strengthen the foundation for a stable winter peak, ensuring the safe and reliable operation of the power grid.
