The State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company Launches Door-to-Door Winter Safety Electricity Usage Campaign

　　"Using high-power appliances on a single power strip, requires attention to the strip's rated capacity to prevent overloading, which can easily lead to a fire." explained the manager of Jiangguanchi Substation from the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company. This advice came after assisting villager Yang Weiwei with an electrical issue at his home in Xinji Village, Jiangguanchi Town, Jian'an District, Xuchang City, Henan Province, on December 2.

　　To effectively ensure safe electricity usage during the winter, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company leveraged rural loudspeakers to broadcast messages on power facility protection, aiming to increase safety awareness among rural customers and encourage scientific electricity usage. Meanwhile, the company dispatched publicity vehicles to rural markets to deliver centralized campaigns on winter electricity safety... Personnel also visited villages and householdsto explain basic safety tips, distribute energy-saving flyers, promote winter safety usage and enhance their self-awareness of safe electricity practices.

　　In recent days, the State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company has carried out over 30 winter electricity safety campaigns, deploying more than 300 staff members. Over 4,200 promotional materials were distributed, and 12 electricity-related issues were resolved for customers. These efforts have significantly improved customers’ ability to prevent electrical hazards during the winter, reinforcing the safe use of electricity.
