XCMG Secures China's Largest Export Order for Green Mining Equipment, Partners with Fortescue to Advance Zero-Carbon Future

XCMG Group recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing with Australia's Fortescue Group on green mining equipment solutions. Under the agreement, XCMG will deliver 150 to 200 units of 240-ton battery-electric haul trucks between 2028 and 2030, marking the largest-ever export order of green mining machinery by a Chinese company.

This landmark order marks a significant milestone for XCMG in the green mining sector. The equipment will fulfill nearly half of Fortescue's future fleet requirements for 240-ton pure electric mining trucks, supporting the company's iron ore mining operations and contributing to its goal of achieving zero carbon emissions in land-based operations by 2030.

Fortescue was among the first in the global mining sector to set a target of full decarbonization by 2030, aiming to completely eliminate the use of fossil fuels in its iron ore operations.
