On the morning of February 19th, at 9:00 AM, in response to sudden weather changes, Wang Yuan, the duty dispatcher at State Grid Wuhan Electric Power Supply Company, and his team utilized their grid risk artificial intelligence analysis support system to assess the power supply and demand situation and plan the optimal operation mode of the power grid.

The "Probability Cloud" risk management system (hereinafter referred to as "Probability Cloud"), developed innovatively by the company, can quantify the risk probabilities of power grid issues such as supply-demand imbalance and voltage fluctuations under extreme weather conditions. This system allows for early assessment of the grid's operating status and ensures power supply safety.
The "Probability Cloud" generates power grid risk points based on real-time weather conditions. The system displays a map of Wuhan City, with several light spots scattered across it, showing colors ranging from red to green according to the risk levels.

"By making early predictions through the system, we can mitigate risks before they occur, much like having a smart steward for the power grid," Wang Yuan explained.
During the 2025 Spring Festival holiday, the maximum electricity load of the Wuhan power grid reached 8.52 million kilowatt, an 11.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024. Based on the solutions provided by the "Probability Cloud," the power supply personnel optimized the grid's operation mode before the festival. By changing the power supply method of the main transformers and other measures, they enhanced the reliability of the power supply and ensured the stable operation of the city's power grid.
