Nanyang, Henan: Quality Power Fuels the Development of Beautiful Villages

In recent years, red tourism, eco-tourism and modern farming industries have been vigorously developed in Zhenping County, Nanyang, Henan. These initiatives have contributed to the promotion of high-quality rural revitalization.

By the end of 2022, a project covering 80 acres was launched in Qilizhuang Village, Zhenping County, featuring efficient agricultural tourism, with 26 greenhouses for eco-friendly fruit picking, and red-themed family-run hotels.

“We coordinated with the village from an early stage of the project, organized specialists to plan the route and work out power supply solutions. Moreover, we provided guidance for the installation of electrical equipment. Currently, all 26 greenhouses in the base are in operation,” said Liu Feng, director of Xuefeng Central Power Supply Station.

A 1,800-square-meter intelligent glass greenhouse has been built in Xiaoxigang Village, Laozhuang Town. Featuring labor-saving and efficient and labor-saving, the intelligent greenhouse is equipped with advanced electrified facilities such as spray and drip irrigation systems, and supporting cultivation technologies. Additionally, to ensure reliable power supply, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has comprehensively upgraded and renovated the power grid in Xiaoxigang Village. Besides, the Company has also provided grid-based services and on-site support, with regular maintenance.

With reliable, high-quality power, Zhenping County has seen rapid growth in industries with local characteristics. These industries include edible mushroom cultivation and processing, goldfish breeding, seedling and flower cultivation, mugwort product processing, and fruit and vegetable picking. All these have formed a beautiful landscape of thriving industries and prosperous village life.
