Recently, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company organized personnel to visit a strawberry picking garden in Mazhuang, Xinye County, Nanyang City, Henan Province. The aim was to conduct safety inspections of electrical systems to ensure a reliable power supply for greenhouse operations.
In recent years, driven by the booming strawberry market and the rise of pick-your-own tourism, many farmers in Nanyang have established family farms for strawberry cultivation. These farms supply local produce markets while embracing agritourism opportunities. During the peak strawberry season, State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company deployed teams to rural areas. They provided professional services to ensure a reliable power supply and support farmers during harvest.
Staff customized their strategies to meet the specialized maintenance needs of strawberry farms, and assessed power needs to ensure stable supply. They conducted thorough inspections of irrigation facilities in the greenhouses, as well as surrounding distribution transformers and power lines. These efforts aim to eliminate potential safety hazards. Meanwhile, the staff explained to growers the operation and maintenance practices for equipment such as water pumps, precautionary and winterization measures for electrical equipment.
Looking ahead, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will advance its village-grid collaboration for convenient services, and strengthen power reliability for rural industries. In addition to routine electrical safety inspections, transformer district managers will proactively visit greenhouses to inspect agricultural power lines and promptly address potential hazards. These efforts support greenhouse growers in increasing yield and income with a reliable power supply.
