Nanyang, Henan: Intelligent Inspections Safeguard Power Grid

On March 12, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company organized a special inspection for spring safety. The personnel conducted comprehensive checks on lines and equipment within their area to precisely identify potential safety hazards and address them promptly, thereby effectively enhancing the reliability of the spring power supply.

As temperatures gradually rise, frequent bird nesting activities and thunderstorms pose challenges to the stable operation of the power grid. To safeguard springtime power reliability, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has organized staff from various power supply stations to conduct comprehensive inspections of lines and equipment within their area. During the inspections, a drone-assisted and manual inspection  approach was adopted, focusing on power lines, brackets, conductors, insulator strings, link fittings, and guy wires. The operating status of cabinets and switches in the distribution area was precisely monitored.

Considering the frequent rainfall in spring, staff conducted detailed inspections of vegetation and soil slope conditions along line corridors. They recorded identified issues and data and addressed potential safety hazards promptly. Additionally, staff actively surveyed electricity usage among local residents, distributed safety manuals and educated them on safe power consumption.

Looking ahead, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue to deepen the fundamental safety production improvement campaign, constantly optimize the power grid structure, enhance equipment health, and further strengthen power grid safety to ensure reliable power supply for the sustained economic and social development of the region.
