In recent years, Guanfushan Village in Laocheng Town, Nanyang City, Henan Province, has leveraged its unique natural scenery to actively develop all-electric homestays, pioneering a new path for rural revitalization.
As spring unfolds with a vibrant display of pear, peach, and rapeseed flowers, accompanied by an impending rise in tourism, the Laocheng power supply station has taken preemptive action to conduct inspections at the village’s “Xing Yue Guang Su” homestay. This effort ensures an uninterrupted and safe electricity supply.
“Since the Hushan Scenic Area opened, an ever-growing number of tourists have been visiting for hikes and exploration. Seizing this opportunity, we constructed seven or eight all-electric homestays at once. During holidays, the village becomes so crowded with cars that parking is a major challenge,” shared the owner of the “Xing Yue Guang Su” homestay with the power supply station staff, who were there to inspect and maintain the power lines and equipment.
To better serve the all-electric homestay industry, the Laocheng power supply station has introduced a series of thoughtful measures. Customized support services were provided for each homestay operator, with staff conducting regular on-site inspections to promptly identify and address potential electrical issues. During holidays, special inspections were carried out to ensure electrical safety. In addition, detailed, differentiated energy consumption analysis reports were provided based on the specific electrical usage of different homestays. Moreover, by considering the unique characteristics of all-electric homestays, customers were educated on efficient and safe electricity usage. These measures collectively help optimize electricity consumption and reduce operational costs.
Nowadays, in Guanfushan Village, electricity has been deeply integrated into various aspects such as dining, lodging, transportation, and entertainment. All-electric homestays not only provide visitors with comfortable and convenient accommodations but also serve as a strong economic driver, helping local villages improve their livelihoods.
