Recently, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company organized staff to visit the agricultural industrial park in Danshui Town, Xixia County, Nanyang City, Henan Province, China. Their goal was to assess the electricity demands of users engaged in developing specialized agricultural industries during the spring farming period.
To meet the electricity demands of agricultural production, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company has launched a special initiative to support spring farming power needs. This includes optimizing service models and enhancing emergency response measures. The company formed 11 teams dedicated to ensuring power supply for spring farming, conducting thorough inspections of agricultural irrigation systems, seedling greenhouses, and intelligent temperature control facilities. Additionally, they assisted in addressing potential electrical hazards for customers and actively promoted safe electricity usage. Moreover, they provided education on safety precautions related to ventilation, insulation, and irrigation in greenhouses, thereby enhancing farmers' awareness of safe electricity use.
Leveraging digital technology, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company conducted 3D inspections of 10kV farmland power lines using a combination of drone inspections and hazard mitigation. This approach enabled them to precisely identify issues concerning switch contacts, drainage joints, and cable connector temperatures. Identified problems were documented and promptly resolved.
Due to the widespread temporary power demands during spring farming, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company proactively assessed the power needs of family farms and other agricultural entities. It developed customized power supply solutions for each farm and organized on-site safety awareness campaigns in the fields. These efforts included distributing Electrical Safety Manuals and guiding farmers on the proper use of electric farm equipment and leakage protection devices.
Moving forward, the State Grid Nanyang Power Supply Company will continue monitoring electricity demands during spring farming, strengthening power infrastructure for irrigation, and offering ongoing support to greenhouse growers. Through these actions, the company is committed to ensuring reliable power support for spring farming activities.
