On the morning of April 1, Dongying Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition and Performance (Yangju, South Korea), themed "Opportunities in China | Lyu Opera, Showing the Charm of China’s Intangible Cultural Heritage to the World", was held at the lecture hall of the Textile Comprehensive Support Center in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. Lyu Opera along with other Dongying intangible cultural heritage items, was showcased in Yangju.

Wang Lingling, a representative inheritor of Lyu Opera, a municipal-level intangible cultural heritage of Dongying, appeared on the stage in a gorgeous costume of Huadan role, which typically refers to lively and cheerful young women. With a light, agile performance and an elegant, fluent singing style, she received warm applause from Yangju citizens.
During the event, the speaker introduced Dongying’s history, culture and natural resources to local citizens through pictures and videos, and showcased Dongying's stunning, modern urban environment and the magnificent and unique ecological landscape of the Yellow River Delta wetlands. In addition, the speaker also introduced in detail many intangible cultural heritages with Dongying features, which is represented by Lyu Opera.

During the interactive session, many intangible cultural heritage exhibits from Dongying, such as Dongying paper-cutting, Liu's puppets, the Guangrao Qi brush, and Dongying straw weaving, piqued the interest of locals and drew large crowds.

As the main performance of this event, Lyu Opera was warmly received by local citizens. Under Wang Lingling’s patient guidance, attendees donned Lyu Opera costumes, practiced opera movements, and took photos to capture the moment.
