Shandong, China Released the Local Standard Technical Specifications for Online Monitoring of Heating Units

　　In order to improve the operating efficiency of heating units, east China’s Shandong Province officially released the local standard Technical Specifications for Online Monitoring of Heating Units recently. The standard is jointly compiled by the Electric Research Institute of the State Grid Shandong Power Supply Company and some other departments, filling the gap in China's online monitoring technical specifications for heating units, and helping local energy authorities improve their supervision accuracy and optimize energy allocation through technical support.

　　This standard focuses on some core links of heating unit operation, including the system construction, performance indication and safety protection. It sets clear requirements for real-time data collecting and associated topics, and new heating techniques, such as coal-fired power units with molten salt heat storage as well as heat pumps, are creatively incorporated into the monitoring scope. Once implemented, the standard will help energy authorities accurately evaluate the effects of coordinated upgrades in three technical areas for coal-fired power units, accelerating to realize heating transformation, flexibility improvement and coal reduction. At the same time, it will help local energy schedulers grasp the dynamics of heating capacity and peak-shaving levels of heating units, optimize thermal power allocation, improve allocation level, thus promoting the smooth operation of new energy consumption market and electricity spot market.
