Seamless Power Connection Ensures Uninterrupted Electricity During Construction

On April 17th, at the comprehensive renovation site of the 10-kilovolt Lujian Line Jinkeng branch line in Jinkeng Village, Bailu Township, Ganxian District, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province, staff from State Grid Ganzhou Power Supply Company were working on poles and towers. Meanwhile, refrigerators and air conditioners in the homes of township residents operated normally, without even a brief outage.

"Today’s grid upgrade employs new technology, allowing residents to experience no interruption during power switching," explained a staff member.

In the past, 10-kilovolt grid maintenance often required power outages or switching to alternative lines or power sources to ensure public electricity supply, which still caused short-term outages. The company has adopted new equipment and technology, using a "seamless connection device" to maintain uninterrupted power during maintenance. As a result, residents are unaware of the power switching process, greatly improving the electricity usage experience.

“This renovation didn’t interrupt our power—it’s my first time seeing such technology. Power supply services and technology are becoming increasingly convenient,” said a local villager.
