Changqing Oilfield No. 1 Gas Production Plant: Fulfilling Supply Commitments Through Steady Production Growth

Ensuring the supply of natural gas during the heating season is crucial for supporting China's ongoing economic recovery and improvement. It is also a key issue in safeguarding people's warmth during the winter. Established on March 4, 1997, Changqing Oilfield No. 1 Gas Production Plant now boasts an annual natural gas production capacity exceeding 10 billion cubic meters.

Since the beginning of this year, the productivity construction project team at the No. 1 Gas Production Plant has been striving to maintain stable production in mature areas while rapidly increasing output in new areas. At present, all the drilling rigs have arrived and production capacity construction is in full swing. Meanwhile, the plant has intensified efforts to manage long-shut-in blocks, revitalize underutilized reserves, and increase the number of productive wells. By implementing five key technical measures focused on "lateral boundary expansion, vertical layer expansion, gas reservoir regulation and control, gas well potential tapping, and surface optimization," the recovery rate of the plant has improved by about 5% compared to the previous rate. This approach has reinvigorated mature oil and gas fields, driving both production stability and growth.

In addition, as challenges such as an increasing number of low-pressure and low-yield wells, growing difficulties in drainage and production, and emerging surface system issues become increasingly prominent, technological innovation has become the key to achieving sustained production growth and stability. Since the beginning of 2024, the No. 1 Gas Production Plant has conducted five comprehensive system evaluations covering gathering station loads, pipeline network transmission capacity, and purification equipment processing capacity. These efforts have provided strong support for production operation adjustments. Meanwhile, the plant is actively undergoing digital transformation. The gas gathering stations have achieved remote control of moving equipment. The effectiveness of intelligent measures at gas wells has reached 93%, and manual parameter adjustment workload has been reduced by 92%.

Looking ahead, the No. 1 Gas Production Plant will continue to accelerate the implementation of effective measures, such as initiating production in exploration zones and pursuing key technological breakthroughs.
