In Yifeng County, Jiangxi Province, Guanshan National Nature Reserve shines as a resplendent ecological gem. With a remarkable forest coverage rate of 93.8%, its exceptional ecological environment nourishes a rich variety of biological communities. This sanctuary is not only a designated China Biosphere Reserve but is also recognized under UNESCO’s Man and the Biosphere Programme. On the International Day for Biological Diversity, its profound value in safeguarding nature and supporting biodiversity becomes even more apparent.
The tour guide explains knowledge about nature to the children
On May 20, State Grid Jiangxi Electric Power organized a special outing for families, inviting them to explore nature within the Yifeng Guanshan National Nature Reserve. As they walked along ecological trails, participants were fascinated by rare and exotic plants. Professional guides, acting as “nature mentors,” explained facts about ferns, wild orchids, and other plant species. At wildlife observation points, macaques were seen cooling off in the trees and silver pheasants foraged in the forest, offering delightful surprises for the children.

The activity not only gave children a deeper understanding of nature, but also enhanced emotional bonds between parents and children, planting the seeds of ecological protection in young hearts. Jiangxi Electric Power remains committed to pursuing green development and advancing the integration of power grid construction with ecological preservation—together envisioning a new blueprint for building an ecological civilization.(By Wang Xiaoli)
