The 220kV Huangpingshan Substation was put into operation in 2018 with one 180 MVA transformer, serving as the main power source for Daye City’s Northwest Industrial Park. Over its seven years of operation, it has played a crucial role in supporting local economic and social development.

Chen Haipeng, team leader of the Project Management Center, added, “We optimized the construction schedule, coordinated work across five areas simultaneously, and conducted real-time quality inspections to complete the project one month ahead of schedule.”
This year, State Grid Huangshi Power Supply Company is advancing three substation expansion projects to meet peak summer demand while managing Ultra-High Voltage (UHV) power transmission coordination. The projects will add 470 MVA of capacity and 39 kilometers of new transmission lines, with all work scheduled for completion by June 15 to ensure stable summer power supply in Huangshi.
