On May 15, the newly built 110-kV Lingxi Substation of State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company was officially commissioned. It will significantly improve power supply reliability in the mountainous areas of northwestern Zhejiang Province and provide strong energy support for regional economic and social development.

In recent years, with the rapid development of integrated tourism and the clustering of the new energy industry in Shanchuan Town, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, the region's maximum electricity load has been increasing at an average annual rate of 12%. The existing 35-kV substation can no longer meet demand. To address this, State Grid Huzhou Power Supply Company built the new 110-kV Lingxi Substation to enhance the regional grid's capacity.
Located in Dayu Village, the core area of local tourism development, the Lingxi Substation serves as a key hub for the power grid in the mountainous areas of northwestern Zhejiang. “In the new substation, we installed the city's first relay protection setting control tool,” said Zhang Ying, head of protection at the company’s Substation Operation and Maintenance Center. This tool minimizes manual verification errors and significantly enhances the accuracy and efficiency of protection setting management.
From construction to commissioning, the company organized multi-disciplinary collaboration, accelerated progress across all stages, and ensured high-quality installation, commissioning, and acceptance of equipment. Inspections were carried out item by item in accordance with standard procedures to ensure stable and reliable operation of all substation systems.

“We will continue to intensify the construction of main grid projects, laying a solid foundation for the high-quality development of Zhejiang's power industry and the transformation of Anji County into a pilot county for the energy revolution,” said He Feng, a representative of the company’s development department.
