On May 18, the “Go Jurong” 2025 event welcoming international friends to the “Promised Land” Jurong was successfully held. Eighteen teachers and students from the Overseas Education College of Jiangsu University participated in the activity, representing 15 countries including Russia, Indonesia, Ghana, and Canada. During the event, participants explored the “Promised Land” Jurong and experienced its unique charm.

The international visitors toured Maoshan Scenic Area, State Grid Xinyuan Jurong Pumped Storage Power Station, Biancheng Lunshan Lake Tourism Resort, and Baohua Mountain Qianhua Ancient Village in succession. The team leader, Professor Wang Hongrun, originally from India, said, “This event not only allows international students to appreciate the diverse charm of Jurong but also provides them with an opportunity for in-depth interaction with Chinese culture.” Timothy, a student from Ghana, enthusiastically told reporters, “I have been living and studying in China for more than two years, and Jurong is the most impressive place I’ve visited in China!”

This event built a bridge for cultural exchange between Jurong and international friends. It not only enabled students to gain an in-depth understanding of Jurong’s natural scenery, historical culture, and modern technology, but also further enhanced the overseas visibility of the “Promised Land” Jurong and promoted mutual learning between diverse cultures.
