On May 19th, the 2025 International Cultural Festival of Guizhou University officially opened under the theme “Connecting the World, Gathering at Guizhou University, and Embracing the Future.” Through a variety of colorful activities, it has built a bridge for cultural exchanges between China and the rest of the world, attracting many teachers, students, and guests.

At the opening ceremony, the National Conditions Education Base, jointly established by The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and Guizhou University, was officially unveiled. Guizhou University’s Study Abroad Service Station was also officially launched.

During the cultural performance segment, teachers and students from different countries and regions presented ethnic singing and dancing, musical performances, and other programs, fully showcasing the charm of multiculturalism and winning rounds of applause from the audience.

Following the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the International Food Carnival kicked off in a lively and festive atmosphere. Students from over a dozen countries, including Yemen, Gabon, and Thailand, gathered to share signature dishes from their homelands. The venue was filled with laughter and joy as different cultures interacted and blended harmoniously. That evening, the International Students’ Chinese Song Contest was held in a cheerful ambiance. The students sang a series of classic songs in fluent Chinese, showcasing their solid command of the language and deep passion for Chinese culture.

This International Cultural Festival will run until May 30th, encompassing a range of activities such as an exhibition on international education achievements, an overseas study education fair, and sharing sessions where students who studied abroad share their experiences. It promises to provide teachers and students with a rich multicultural experience and a grand celebration of campus culture.
