The event established a multi-party exchange platform connecting government departments, industry associations, legal service providers, and foreign economic and trade enterprises. To further strengthen the coordination of innovation resources and organizational synergy, the Chongqing Bar Association, the Chongqing Court of International Commercial Arbitration, and 11 other entities reached a consensus on deepening collaborative cooperation through friendly consultation. At the event, they jointly signed the Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement on Building Chongqing’s International Commercial Legal Services Ecosystem.
At the same time, several Chongqing-based law firms signed international business cooperation agreements with three legal service institutions from countries participating in the Belt and Road Initiative. These agreements clearly establish cross-border law firm collaboration, aiming to provide comprehensive legal support for Chinese enterprises “going global” through joint legal teams.
The event also featured the release of the Top Ten Representative Cases of International Legal Services, jointly selected by the Chongqing Municipal Bureau of Justice and the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Commerce. These cases were contributed by professionals from legal, arbitration, and notarization sectors and cover areas such as cross-border investment, international trade, and international intellectual property rights. They provide practical examples for enterprises to better understand international trade rules, mitigate cross-border investment risks, and safeguard their legitimate interests overseas.
Also released were the Top Ten International Legal Service Products, which cover various areas including overseas compliance review and international commercial mediation. These highlight the Chongqing legal sector’s efforts to support enterprise globalization through professional services.
During the dialogue and exchange session, two thematic forums were held: “International Legal Services Boosting Chongqing Enterprises' Global Expansion” and “China (Chongqing)–ASEAN International Legal Service Cooperation for Win-Win Outcomes.” Guests from arbitration institutions, enterprises, and law firms delivered insightful presentations and participated in productive discussions, yielding fruitful results.
