On May 22, State Grid Nanchang Power Supply Company carried out upgrades on the 10-kilovolt Liangxi Line. Aiming to improve power supply quality and reduce tripping rates, the company implemented measures such as adding smart switches, replacing insulated conductors, and installing lightning arresters to ensure stable electricity for surrounding medical device enterprises.

This upgrade resolved voltage fluctuation issues that had affected equipment precision at Nanchang Xiangyi Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. To ensure stable production and avoid delays in export order deliveries due to power supply problems, the company installed smart reactive power compensation devices to stabilize voltage on production lines serving overseas orders, and conducts daily monitoring of connection points. “After the upgrade, equipment downtime has dropped to zero, and the delivery cycle for European orders has been shortened by 15%,” said Zhou Chuhua, the company’s representative.

Jinxian County in Nanchang has an annual transaction volume of nearly 300 billion yuan in the medical device industry, with products exported via the China–Europe Railway Express. State Grid Nanchang Power Supply Company has established an “order-to-power” coordination mechanism, implementing tailored solutions for companies using sterilization equipment. Over the year, it resolved 32 power-related issues, cleared 120 tree obstructions, and reduced the tripping rate in export enterprise clusters by 60%. The Liangxi Line upgrade enables 0.3-second fault isolation through five smart switches, with 63 sets of lightning arresters installed along 1.5 kilometers of insulated conductors—boosting the line’s lightning protection capability by 70%.
As international trade channels expand, stable power has become a core competitive edge for “Made in China” medical devices entering global markets.
