"Quality" Sparks Innovation: 14th Dalong Cup China Women's Wear Design Competition Concludes Successfully

On June 10th, the "Quality Glow # Oriental" 14th Dalong Cup China Women's Wear Design Competition came to a successful close in Dalang Fashion Town, Longhua, Shenzhen. The event, a spectacular fashion feast, exceeded the high expectations of its audience.

Contestant Bao Lei won the Gold Award (Golden Wave Award) with her work Liu Rushi. The Silver Award (Wave Award) went to Peng Shunan’s Bow of the Heavens and Isabella Perez’s Ancestry Meets Innovation. The Bronze Award (Spray Award) was presented to the works Floating Light on Blue Oars by Deng Jiaquan and Li Xuanyi, Mystery of the Himalayas by Trashi Puntsok Katagiri, and Threads of Connection by Andrew Charles. These outstanding pieces demonstrated the passion and creativity of Chinese fashion designers to all those invested in the future of Chinese fashion.

Using the Competition to Launch a New Chapter in China’s Fashion Power

The "Quality Glow # Oriental" 14th Dalong Cup China Women's Wear Design Competition was jointly organized by the China National Garment Association and the People's Government of Longhua District, Shenzhen. It was undertaken by the Key Area Construction Promotion Center of Longhua District, China Apparel Magazine, and the Dalang Sub-district Office, and co-organized by China Textile Publishing House Co., Ltd.

As beams of light fell like a meteor shower, the stage lit up, instantly awakening the atmosphere.

Chen Dapeng, Vice President of the China National Textile Industry Council and President of the China National Garment Association, stated that the designs in this competition—whether inspired by classic patterns or infused with traditional philosophical thinking through digital technologies—embody the essence of Oriental aesthetics: rooted in history, alive in the present, and looking toward the future. Dalang Fashion Town, the birthplace of the Dalong Cup, has become a hub for fashion innovation and trendsetting, thanks to its forward-looking industrial planning, comprehensive ecological chain, and robust resource capabilities.

Zhao Yanyan, Deputy District Mayor of Longhua District, noted that over the past 14 years, the Dalong Cup has gathered numerous emerging designers and industry elites, becoming an important platform for creative exchange and ideation. Thanks to this competition, more fashion icons are making their way to Longhua and establishing themselves in Dalang. At the same time, Dalang Fashion Town, riding the momentum of the event, continues to improve its "soft" business environment while enhancing its "hard" development capabilities. It is steadily evolving into a curated fashion experience center that integrates fashion retail, creative exhibitions, eco-friendly living, and industrial clustering.
