In 2017, CQVIE, in collaboration with ZTE Corporation, established the ZTE ICT College based on the "Ministry of Education-ZTE ICT Industry Innovation Base." Two Uzbekistan students, Dalong and Siweili, became the first degree-seeking international students at the college, participating in the "2+1" split-phase program. They spent the first two years studying 5G communication technology at CQVIE, and in their third year, they interned at Huawei Uzbekistan's base station construction project team. After graduation, both joined Huawei and have since become key employees in the 5G network development in Central Asia.

To cultivate industry-ready global professionals, CQVIE has built the CEC (College-Enterprise-College) International Talent Development platform. According to Zhou Tong, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Department at CQVIE, the college has customized a three-position course module designed to train technicians, engineers, and executives. This program also includes the "2+1" cross-border collaborative education model, implemented with enterprises like ZTE, integrating "Chinese + Vocational Skills" training. Nearly 50 degree-seeking students from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian countries have already graduated from this program. Moving forward, CQVIE plans to continue holding Uzbekistan-focused education and vocational skills training programs, with a target of recruiting 30 international students and conducting 100 technical skills training sessions each year.

In September 2024, CQVIE led the establishment of the China-Uzbekistan Vocational Education Alliance, with 125 universities from China and Uzbekistan joining as founding members. In addition to supporting the creation of the Central Asia (China-Uzbekistan) Education Certification Center in partnership with the Chongqing Education Evaluation Institute and the Vocational Education Development Department of Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, CQVIE will promote the construction of professional standards for communication technology, curriculum standards, and practical training standards. These will be integrated into Uzbekistan’s national education system.

At present, the college has established a cross-regional collaborative network based on the "four haves" philosophy: organized global outreach under national initiatives, education tailored to meet output needs, empowerment of teachers with expertise, and quality-driven standards. The college has also spearheaded the China-Thailand Vocational Education Alliance and collaborated with enterprises such as BYD to conduct enterprise-specific training programs for international students. By leveraging projects like the Luban Workshop, the college has collaborated with organizations such as German Rhine and the Chongqing Education Evaluation Institute to develop 55 English-language courses based on the "Chinese + Vocational Skills" model, grounded in work processes. Additionally, 144 international majors and curriculum standards were developed. Among them, 14 civil engineering standards have been incorporated into the national vocational education system in Tanzania and exported to over 100 cooperative universities in 20 countries along the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
