Yangjiang Shines at the "Guangdong Activity Week" of the Osaka World Expo 2025

On June 27, the opening ceremony of the "Guangdong Activity Week" at the China Pavilion of the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan was held. Running from June 27 to 29, the activity week featured a variety of events, including intangible cultural heritage and folk customs performances, ecological displays under the theme “Beautiful Green Guangdong,” and science and culture exhibitions. Yangjiang City in Guangdong Province stood out on this international stage with diverse displays and comprehensive promotions.

In the science and culture exhibition section, Yangjiang presented its exhibit titled “China’s Green Energy Capital,” showcased alongside four other exhibits, including the Guangzhou Metro sand table model, UBTECH robots, and Fantuo Technology. Through meticulously designed models of wind power and energy storage systems, the exhibition highlighted Yangjiang’s rich energy resources—covering wind, solar, hydro, thermal, gas, nuclear, and storage—and its achievements in green energy development.

On the morning of June 28, the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Investment Environment Promotion Conference and Sino-Japanese Big Health Industry Matchmaking Meeting," hosted by the Guangdong Council for the Promotion of International Trade, was held in Kobe. Yangjiang delivered a city promotion at the event. Lu Yixian, Party Secretary of Yangjiang and Chairman of the Municipal People’s Congress, gave a comprehensive presentation introducing the city’s image, high-quality resources, industrial strengths, and business environment.

The Yangjiang Council for the Promotion of International Trade organized four companies—Deshu Abalone, Senli Cookware, Jianxin Plastic, and Guanhua Hats—to participate in the activity week. At the matchmaking and exchange event, these enterprises showcased products in four major sectors: food processing, outdoor camping, household goods, and clothing manufacturing. Through targeted presentations, they connected with Japanese business associations, reached multiple cooperation agreements, and expanded their presence in the RCEP market.

During the activity week, the Yangjiang Council for the Promotion of International Trade also arranged enterprise visits to the Kansai Chinese Chamber of Commerce and the Japan Guangdong Chamber of Commerce, building bridges for in-depth exchange between local companies and advancing China-Japan cooperation with the help of chamber resources.
