The 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair Kicks Off in Gansu

On the morning of July 6, the 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair was held in Lanzhou, the capital city of Gansu Province.

With the theme of "Sharing Opportunities, Pursuing Common Development, and Creating Prosperity Together", the 31st China Lanzhou Investment and Trade Fair attracts participants from 24 embassies and consulates in China, business associations and chambers of commerce, as well as 18 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Hong Kong SAR. Nearly 2,000 enterprises are taking part, showcasing over 10,000 products across nearly 40 categories. These include equipment manufacturing, petrochemicals, new materials, new energy, aerospace, modern agriculture, digital information, low-altitude economy, artificial intelligence, biomedicine, green minerals, cultural tourism and wellness, specialty agricultural products, and daily consumer goods.

This year’s fair features strengthened international economic and trade cooperation. Indonesia has been invited as the Guest of Honor, and representatives from Belt and Road countries and regions, as well as international organizations, are attending the event. A series of international economic and trade activities, including "Green China · Invest in Gansu", will be held to provide a broader platform for Gansu’s international economic engagement. In addition to specialized exhibition halls for "Gansu-flavor" agricultural products, cultural tourism, Gansu-made liquor, and the sports industry, 14 industrial pavilions representing the province’s prefecture-level cities have also been set up.

Lanzhou, Dingxi, and Longnan have been designated as themed cities for this year’s fair. They will play leading and exemplary roles in economic and trade activities and exhibitions, fully showcasing the appeal of regional development. Following the philosophy of "strengthening leading industries, improving weak links, and forming industrial clusters", the fair includes 14 key investment and trade promotion activities, such as matchmaking sessions between centrally-administered SOEs and Gansu. These activities focus on Gansu’s "14+1" key industrial chains, aiming to enhance the province's characteristic strengths, foster strategic emerging industries, and build a modern industrial system with Gansu characteristics.

The fair also collaborates with national-level chambers of commerce and industry associations, including the Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises on the Mainland, to carry out investment promotion activities. Except for the China Association for Small and Medium Enterprises, all other associations are organizing member enterprises to visit Gansu for the first time, injecting new vitality into the province’s efforts to attract high-quality investment.
