It is reported that this project will be the third large-scale international IP indoor theme park complex that Maichi Culture has exclusively introduced to China. It will feature multiple indoor theme parks, themed hotels, themed restaurants, themed retail outlets, and themed performances. Following the establishment of a joint venture last year between Maichi Culture and RWS Entertainment Group—a world-leading live experience entertainment company—RWS will introduce several international Broadway musicals and IP-themed shows for this project.
As another major initiative by Longhua District to promote the development of the modern fashion, culture, and tourism industries, the project will drive the deep integration of fashion with the cultural and tourism sectors, helping Longhua District develop a fashion industry cluster with distinctive international cultural features. Leveraging its expertise in international IP-themed live entertainment, Maichi Culture will be fully responsible for the project’s development, implementation, operation, and management.
Zhang Shicong, Party Member and Deputy Director of the Longhua Key Area Center, stated: “This project will inject new momentum into the integration of fashion, culture, and tourism in Longhua, enrich local consumption scenarios, and help Longhua develop internationally attractive fashion and cultural tourism projects.”
Over the past two years, Maichi Culture, which specializes in international IP live entertainment, has launched several international IP family entertainment center complexes and outdoor theme park projects across China. Zhao Yang, President of Maichi Culture, said that Shenzhen, as a core city in the Greater Bay Area, already boasts a wide range of themed entertainment formats. With the support of numerous top international IPs, this project will not only enrich the Greater Bay Area’s cultural and tourism offerings but also elevate the region’s global visibility in cultural tourism.
Looking ahead, Longhua District aims to become a globally influential destination for international fashion, culture, and tourism. By introducing top international IPs, promoting the deep integration of fashion and cultural tourism, and enhancing supporting industrial services, it strives to build a modern hub for fashion, culture, and tourism that integrates both fashion consumption and cultural experiences.
