Quzhou, Zhejiang: Live-line Operation Ensures Reliable Power Supply and Smooth Transformer Connection

On July 9, staff from State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company carried out live-line operations on the 10kV Dongshan 5317 Line to achieve the uninterrupted connection of a newly installed transformer to the high-voltage line, making every effort to ensure reliable power supply.

With the development of the regional economy and the increasing demand for electricity, the original power supply layout in the Guanzhuang area urgently needed optimization. To improve reliability and meet the power demands of new loads, the construction of the new "Guanzhuang No. 9 Transformer" was scheduled for implementation. Staff from State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company took the initiative, overcame technical challenges with professional expertise, and ensured a zero-outage connection of the new transformer to the high-voltage line, laying a solid foundation for regional grid upgrades and improved reliability.

At the operation site, staff worked under the scorching sun. The team leader held the operation manual and ensured thorough preparation to guarantee safety. Operators remained focused on safety and quality, steadily advancing the task under live-line conditions. They successfully completed the energization of the new transformer, allowing it to be integrated into the power grid without waiting for a scheduled outage window.
