Recently, State Grid Huanggang Power Supply Company launched its “Caring Station: Cool Summer Care” initiative, delivering cool care packages to outdoor workers.
Since the beginning of summer, Huanggang City has experienced persistent high temperatures, with the meteorological station issuing consecutive heat warnings. The dedication of outdoor workers—including traffic police, sanitation workers, delivery couriers, and construction crews—has drawn widespread public concern. In response, State Grid Huanggang Power Supply Company has leveraged its “Caring Stations” as cooling hubs. These stations offer round-the-clock air conditioning, refrigerators stocked with chilled drinks including bottled water, and first-aid kits containing Huoxiang Zhengqi herbal remedy and electrolyte supplements. The company has also thoughtfully prepared cool care packages to support these workers.

A group of sanitation workers holding their packages repeatedly thanked the station staff. “The temperature has been extremely high lately. We come in here every afternoon to take a break. You’ve made mung bean soup and provided heat-relief medicine—so thoughtful. Thumbs up to your power company!”

Through these efforts, the company aims to demonstrate concrete actions to foster greater respect and care for outdoor workers across society.
