During peak summer season, Zhejiang Province enters a critical period for agricultural production and rural economic development. Electricity demand has surged across multiple sectors—from agricultural irrigation and cold-chain logistics to rural tourism including farm stays and homestays. This seasonal boom, driven by ecological agriculture growth, has significantly increased power consumption loads.
State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power is focusing on the summer industrial characteristics of agricultural modernization, injecting strong momentum into the efficient, green, and sustainable development of the agricultural sector.

In Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, Cixi Modern Agricultural Development Zone alone hosts 51 leading agricultural enterprises. The zone has developed distinctive industrial clusters featuring high-quality grains and premium produce—including rice, Dendrobium officinale, eggs, and grapes—charting a path toward green, efficient, tech-driven, and eco-friendly modern agriculture.
As a representative enterprise, Henghai Agricultural Development Co., Ltd. operates six connected greenhouses and more than 50 small connected sheds. Its irrigation and cooling systems are fully automated, requiring reliable, high-capacity power infrastructure.

"Our artificially cultivated Dendrobium officinale relies on automated environmental controls that ensure precise temperature and humidity management. This would not be possible without strong support from the power company," said a Henghai Agriculture representative.

State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has tailored its distributed power service networks to match the specific needs of administrative villages, creating a hybrid service model that combines standardization with customization. This approach transforms service delivery from "passive response" to "proactive engagement," from "counter service" to "field service," and from "broad coverage" to "targeted solutions," precisely addressing diverse rural needs.
Currently, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has completed power service grid coverage for all 294 administrative villages in Cixi, established 14 modernized electrified villages, and achieved a 99.8% customer satisfaction rate in pilot villages and communities.
