Recently, State Grid Xuchang Power Supply Company organized a construction crew to replace 10kV conductors on poles No. 3 through No. 8 of the Caiyuanjie branch line, part of the 10kV Shinan Line. This upgrade represents a significant step toward optimizing the local grid framework and enhancing the reliability of power supply.

To better meet the daily electricity needs of residents and address challenges such as heavy overloads and low voltage during peak demand periods, the company has launched a comprehensive grid optimization initiative under its “Fundamental Safety in Production” campaign. Leveraging big data monitoring platforms, lean inspections, and routine community visits, the company has systematically identified distribution areas with long supply radiuses, thin wire gauges, and undersized transformer capacities. These findings are compiled into detailed issue ledgers, with corresponding upgrade and remediation plans developed to ensure a consistently reliable “power acquisition experience” for customers.

In a coordinated, multi-departmental effort, the company has proactively addressed recurring challenges observed during previous high-load periods. After thorough on-site surveys, practical low-voltage improvement solutions have been implemented, including load segmentation, transformer tap adjustments, upgrading two-wire systems to four-wire systems, increasing conductor diameters, and replacing aging service drop cables with insulated ones. By clearly defining responsibilities and work tasks, the company has positioned these low-voltage improvement projects as a top public welfare priority, ensuring that potential safety hazards are effectively resolved.
