State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company Conducts Special Inspections of Campus Electrical Facilities

On September 10, State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company dispatched staff to multiple local primary and secondary schools to carry out electricity safety promotion activities and conduct special inspections of campus electrical facilities, offering teachers and students with a special "safety gift."

The staff carried out comprehensive inspections of electrical equipment in teaching buildings, including sockets, lighting systems, and other electrical devices. Facilities with potential hazards, such as looseness or aging, were replaced to ensure secure installation and safe usage. For circuits connected to high-power equipment like air conditioners, inspectors carefully checked operational conditions and simulated full-load operations to test voltage and current stability, effectively ensuring the normal functioning of air conditioning systems.

Meanwhile, on campus playgrounds, the company set up informative and illustrated electricity safety display boards featuring practical tips on safe electricity usage, electric shock first aid, and electrical fire prevention. Staff provided on-site explanations of electrical safety precautions to enhance teachers' and students' awareness of self-protection.

It is reported that the activity involved inspecting over 40 electrical equipment, identification and resolution of six potential safety hazards, and distribution of more than 400 promotional brochures. Looking ahead, State Grid Wuxi Power Supply Company will further establish a long-term mechanism for campus electricity safety, regularly conducting inspections and educational campaigns to create a safe and stable campus learning environment.
