“During the hoisting operation of the crane, pedestrians are prohibited from lingering or passing around the loaded steel wire ropes, under the crane boom or the lifted objects.” On September 16, at the comprehensive maintenance site of the 110kV Huibu Substation in Quzhou, Zhejiang, Song Minggang, a staff member of State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company, was briefing on-site operators about the precautions for crane hoisting.

After the summer peak load period, in the face of the upcoming autumn inspection featuring extensive coverage, tight schedules, heavy tasks, high risks, and a complex construction team, State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company formulated and approved an on-site management and control plan in advance. It also proactively organized a special seminar on work safety and violation prevention, as well as a kick-off meeting for the autumn inspection to “get staff focused”. These efforts aimed to keep frontline employees alert both mentally and physically, enabling them to quickly adapt to the autumn inspection work.
“When conducting acceptance checks, we must ensure that the secondary terminal of the current transformer is grounded. Otherwise, the outermost insulation layer will be exposed to extremely high voltage relative to the ground, leading to insulation breakdown, which endangers the safety of equipment and personnel!" At the 110kV Huibu Substation, Ding Yilin, a high-voltage test technician of the company, was briefing other staff on the acceptance key points for the newly replaced current transformers. This is part of the company’s regular efforts to strengthen core business capabilities integrating municipal and county-level operations.
As autumn arrives, State Grid Quzhou Power Supply Company will firmly undertake its primary responsibility of ensuring power supply, earnestly implement work safety measures, and complete all autumn grid inspection tasks with high quality, high standards, and high efficiency as planned. This is to ensure the safe and reliable operation of the power grid, make thorough preparations for the grid to cope with the winter peak load, and safeguard the electricity needs of enterprise production and residents’ daily life.
